Resolutions First is a social enterprise that runs training in conflict resolution and emotional literacy.  Resolutions First aims is to support the creation of peaceful communities by:

• Promoting knowledge and understanding of conflict resolution theory and skills
• Developing the practical application of conflict resolution skills
• Promoting social, emotional and behavioural skills
• Working to place conflict resolution at the centre of learning for young people and adults

Background

‘Resolutions’ was started by Carl Emery in 1999 and became a not-for-profit limited company, ‘Resolutions First’ in 2003. The vision was to establish a social enterprise that would help people understand and manage their conflicts in a positive way and stop conflict from becoming a barrier to opportunity. Since then, Resolutions First has developed an outstanding reputation in the North West for providing training and consultancy in all aspects of conflict resolution and emotional literacy.
