Positive Images

Positive Images is a project which seeks to challenge racism, prejudice and discrimination by working across communities to celebrate cultural diversity. Positive Images works with local Black and Minority Ethnic groups and the wider white community in generating multi-media education/training resources alongside developing and implementing wider strategies which can bring about community cohesion. We work with young people empowering their involvement and participation in delivering this work as well as with adult groups from divergent local communities. In addition we work with strategic local partners and are looking to expand this to the national level.

Our geographic area is Gateshead and the North east generally
